Located in the heart of downtown Nashville, Dr. Angela Walk has been proudly serving as the Downtown Nashville Chiropractor for 20 years.
Unlike many chiropractic offices, we do not prescribe long-term treatment plans. Our goal is to relieve pain, increase motion, and promote healing as quickly as possible. Dr. Walk utilizes cutting-edge soft tissue techniques in combination with advanced chiropractic spinal correction to get the most effective and fastest result.
We believe patients deserve access to the highest level of integrated care and that is why we go well beyond the normal chiropractic protocols.
Chiropractic Manipulative Therapy (Adjusting)
When a joint is fixated or stuck, the doctor utilizes chiropractic manipulation or an adjustment to help restore normal motion and function. Generally, this technique employs gentle pressure or a shallow thrust to restore optimal motion. An adjustment is sometimes accompanied by a pop, which results from the joints release of nitrogen gas (the same pop heard when one "cracks their knuckles"). Neurologically, an adjustment will inhibit pain, help relax muscles, and will improve neuromuscular coordination.
MFR is a soft tissue technique that combines massage and stretching that treats many muscle, tendon, ligament, and fascia problems. It is designed to increase range of motion, eliminate trigger points and soft tissue adhesions. Dr. Walk has had extensive training with this technique and the results are remarkable.
Graston Technique is an innovative, patented form of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization that enables clinicians to effectively break down scar tissue and fascial restrictions. The technique utilizes specially designed stainless steel instruments to specifically detect and effectively treat areas exhibiting soft tissue fibrosis or chronic inflammation. This technique has been clinically proven to achieve quicker and better outcomes in treating both acute and chronic conditions including: Cervical Sprain/Strain, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Elbow Tendonosis, Rotator Cuff Tendonosis, Lumbar Sprain/Strain, and Plantar Fascitis....

You may be wondering what the buzz is about essential oils and why everyone is talking about them. Essential oils have plant-based intelligence that seeks imbalance in the body to support health. Essential oils are very powerful, however, if essential oils are carefully blended, their individual properties can be greatly enhanced. The combination of certain oils become much more powerful than the individual oils. Blending oils are considered an art and a science. It can be quite complicated and takes a bit of skill. It's important to know what oils complement each other and the proper ratios.
